Falling Back into Drugs
Where do I begin with how I feel about this situation. I really loved her and I loved her authenticity, her laugh and her honesty, except for one thing - she loves the drugs and alcohol more than life.
As of earlier this week she has been missing. I just visited her workplace and she wasn't there either. I didn't have the guts to ask her employer if she has shown up for work the last few days because I do not think I could've handled the word "no".

More Homosexual Intolerance
Sarah McQueen
July 18, 2008
It seems that everywhere you turn there is a story in the media about homosexuals fighting for their "rights," speaking out against what they call "intolerance" and "persecution" because they are not given preferential treatment in society. They rail against discrimination in the workplace, declaring that no one should be refused a job simply because of their beliefs and actions with regards to homosexuality.Yet how ironic is that in light of the fact that the same people who fight for non-discrimination are the same people who are holding up the nomination of numerous presidential appointees, including Dr. James Holsinger, President Bush's nominee for U.S. Surgeon General.
It has been over ten months since Dr. Holsinger's confirmation hearings. We still do not have a Surgeon General and Dr. Holsinger's nomination is in limbo. His appointment is being held up in the Senate because of opposition from homosexual activists and their allies. The complaints against Dr. Holsinger are not about his experience, intelligence, qualifications or ability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Instead, the complaints are about his views on homosexuality. Dr. Holsinger has in the past expressed the traditional view of marriage held by his religion and denomination, the United Methodist Church, which states that the sacred union of marriage is between one man and one woman.
Part of the "evidence" against Dr. Holsinger is a paper he wrote in 1991 which detailed the very real health consequences of homosexual behavior among men. This paper, written at the request of a church committee, simply states his medical findings and conclusions based on scientific data. The paper contains nothing hateful or derogatory towards homosexuals. Dr. Holsinger simply makes a case for heterosexuality based on human anatomy and the health risks that are associated with unnatural sexual behavior. The reaction by homosexual groups concerning Dr. Holsinger's scholarly work shows an intolerance of rational views and an unjustified defensiveness for their behavior.
Saying that Dr. Holsinger discriminated against homosexuals by publishing his medical research is comparable to saying that the Surgeon General's warning on cigarette advertisements is discrimination against smokers.
Dr. Holsinger did not speak in hatred; he simply stated his beliefs and provided scientific evidence supporting those views from a medical perspective. (MORE)

California hotels subject of homosexual boycott
Homosexual activists are calling for a boycott of a California businessman who financially supported a constitutional amendment protecting traditional marriage.
Doug Manchester, owner of the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, made the political donation in support of Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment initiative appearing on the state's ballot in November. Now homosexual activists are calling for a boycott of that hotel and the Grand Del Mar in San Diego.
Randy Thomasson of the Campaign for California Families says the activists are being "mean spirited." "They are trying to grind a person into the dust, and they are really against free speech," he adds.
Thomasson suggests that Christians and pro-family people should turn the boycott around and support business that wish to remain family-friendly. "Look, there's more pro-family people in America and San Diego than there are homosexual activists," he contends. "[S]o we can vote with our dollars before we actually vote on the ballot." Thomasson argues that family and marriage advocates can effectively counter the boycott by spending their vacation dollars at either of the hotel facilities.
Manchester is one of several wealthy business owners who have donated to the campaign, which would overturn the California Supreme Court decision that legalized homosexual "marriage."
Gay marriage problems real
Marriage Matters!
Lebanon Daily News
Recently, a man filed a lawsuit against two Christian publishers for mental distress and emotional pain because the Bibles they print describe homosexual conduct as a sin. He is asking for $70 million in damages.
Even if this case does not get very far, it shows that our country is taking a dangerous lurch to the left. The radical left and homosexual-rights movement are pushing so-called “hate-crimes laws” and trying hard to redefine marriage and family. If that happens, it is not a radical leap from suing publishing companies to suing pastors.
That’s why it is so important for all Americans who cherish freedom, faith and family to be active in the public policy debates of our time and, most importantly, to vote!

OAK BROOK, Illinois, July 15 /Christian Newswire/ -- American Family Association (AFA) is today joined at a McDonald's restaurant near the grounds of McDonald's corporate headquarters by Americans for Truth, Liberty Counsel, Illinois Family Institute, AFA of Pennsylvania and Culture Campaign and other pro-family advocates to call for a boycott of the corporation over their disregard for traditional moral and family values. "It's a shame that McDonald's would tarnish their family-friendly image," said AFA Chairman Don Wildmon. "But the company has ramped up its support of the gay agenda and it leaves us no option but to call for a boycott."

Where: In front McDonald's restaurant across from McDonald's world headquarters in
Wildmon wrote the company with a plea for McDonald's to remain neutral in the culture war by removing McDonald's name and logo from the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) Web site (where McDonald's is cited as a partner and ally) and withdraw McDonald's VP of Communications Richard Ellis' endorsement from the gay Web site. McDonald's ignored both requests. "To put it politely, the company thumbed its nose at the Christian community," Wildmon said.
McDonald's donated $20,000 to the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in exchange for membership and a seat on the group's board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies Congress on a wide range of issues related to the gay agenda including gay marriage.
In response to the boycott, McDonald's spokesman Bill Whitman told the Washington Post that those who oppose homosexuality are motivated by hate, saying that "… hatred has no place in our culture." McDonald's has decided to adopt the "hate" theme used by homosexual groups for years.
"This boycott isn't about hiring homosexuals, or homosexuals eating at McDonald's or how homosexual employees are treated. It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, refusing to remain neutral in the culture war. The company has chosen not to remain neutral but to give the full weight of their corporation to promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage."
The pro-family groups are encouraging families to do two things: sign, print and distribute a Boycott McDonald's petition at www.boycottmcdonalds.com; and call the local McDonald's to politely tell the manager they are boycotting the chain until it stops promoting the gay agenda.
